Enumeration CategoryNames

Lists all possible categories. Key: first letter of the category name, value: full category name.

• a means "artikel", i.e. wrong article, e.g. "das Kommentar" instead of "der Kommentar".
• b means "bedeutung", i.e. indicates that a mistake stems from a misconception of the word's meaning, e.g. "seid Jahren" instead of "seit Jahren" (both "seid" and "seit" are valid German words, but they have different meanings, which is why only "seit" is correct in this case).
• d means "denglisch", i.e. indicates that a mistake stems from a (too) literal translation/borrowing of an English word or phrase, e.g. "korrupte Daten" (from "corrupt data") instead of "beschädigte Daten".
• g means "grammatik", i.e. general grammar mistake that doesn't fit very well into any of the other categories.
• k means "kasus", i.e. mistake regarding the grammatical case, e.g. "wider besseren Wissens" instead of "wider besseres Wissen".
• n means "nominalisierung", i.e. mistake regarding capitalisation, e.g. "die Beiden" instead of "die beiden".
• o means "orthographie", i.e. spelling mistake, e.g. "Annektion" instead of "Annexion".
• s means "sprachstil", i.e. bad linguistic style, e.g. "von wo" instead of "woher".
• v means "verbrannt", i.e. a phrase that is irrevocably corrupted by the National Socialist misuse of the German language and that should therefore be avoided at all costs.
